After 18 hours of negotiations, IG Metall announced a pay increase for 3.9 million employees in the German metal and electrical industry, averaging 5.5% over two years. Wages will rise by 2% on April 1, 2025, followed by an additional 3.1% a year later, along with a one-off payment of 600 euros by February 2025. The collective agreement spans 25 months, with training allowances increasing by 140 euros per month starting January 2025.
